This is how the plugin looks when using the combined shortcode, displaying both platforms together in one place—the latest Telegram post automatically, followed by the WhatsApp Channel card with direct access to its latest updates.

Telegram
This is how the plugin looks when using the Telegram shortcode by itself. It automatically displays the latest post from the public Telegram channel or group configured in the plugin settings.
And this is how the WhatsApp shortcode looks when used by itself. Since WhatsApp does not currently provide a reliable way to automatically retrieve the latest Channel update, the plugin displays a clean Channel card that gives visitors direct access to the latest updates on WhatsApp.

Plugin Details
For Telegram, the plugin automatically retrieves and displays the latest post from a public Telegram channel or group. Once the Telegram URL is configured, the latest publication is automatically shown on your website.
The WhatsApp Challenge
My original goal was to provide the same automatic functionality for WhatsApp Channels. However, this turned out to be more challenging than expected.
Although WhatsApp Channels are publicly accessible, WhatsApp currently does not provide a straightforward public API or reliable method for an external WordPress website to automatically retrieve the latest Channel update. I experimented with several different approaches, but ultimately decided that reliability was more important than displaying incorrect or inconsistent information.
For now, the WhatsApp portion of the plugin displays an attractive WhatsApp Channel card with the Channel information and a button visitors can use to view the latest updates directly on WhatsApp.
I’ll continue keeping an eye on this functionality. If a practical and reliable way becomes available to automatically retrieve the latest WhatsApp Channel update, I plan to update the plugin accordingly.
Use Telegram, WhatsApp, or Both
The plugin gives you the flexibility to use Telegram and WhatsApp together or individually.
As demonstrated above on this page, you can display both using the combined shortcode. You can also see Telegram by itself and WhatsApp by itself, so you can get a better idea of how each option looks when used independently.
This allows you to choose whichever configuration works best for your website.
